-40 c to f | -40 °F |
Celcius is the scale that is commonly used to estimate the temperature in the world. As 0° C is the freezing point of water and the boiling point of water is 100° C. In the US, to compute the temperature Fahrenheit scale is used.
T(°F) = T(°C) × 9/5 + 32
We can easily calculate the temperature in degrees Fahrenheit T(°F) by a formula that is equal to the temperature in degrees Celsius T(°C) times 9/5 plus 32. And also note that 0° C is equal to 32º F.
Changing Celsius to Fahrenheit:
ºF = ºC × (9/5) + 32
F = [ C × (9/5) + 32 ]
Given that, C = -40
Then, F = -40 × (9/5) + 32
F = -72 + 32
F = -40
Thus, -40ºC is equal to -40ºF.
