Emoji Meaning:

Camera Emoji📷 It’s a vintage camera with a circular protrusion that holds the lens in place inside it. It has a square flashlight, an indicator on the upper border, and two buttons on the circumference. Aside from photos, this object also refers to videography. No flash means that you’re literally and metaphorically “catching” moments during the day. When there were no cameras on our phones, there was an SLR. There is a black and silver case with a lens and operating controls that are commonly pictured.

As part of Unicode 6.0, the camera was approved in 2010 and was introduced to Emoji 1.0 in 2015.
