Space X Program and Crew Dragon: What do we have so far?
Dragon is a freight spacecraft designed to transport both goods and people to points in remote destinations. It is the only spaceship flying today that is able to return large quantities of freight to Earth. Dragon is currently carrying freight but was built to hold human beings from the beginning.
The NASA Commercial Crew Service launched its first test flight at 2:49 AM on March 2, 2019; at about 6:02 am the Space Station was successfully docked by the Dragon Spacecraft. The first Us spacecraft in history to directly dock with the International Space Station on 3 March 2019.
What can Dragon Spacecraft do?
The Dragon spacecraft can accommodate up to seven passengers from and to Earth’s orbit and beyond. The pressurized capsule portion is meant for the transportation of individuals as well as environmentally sensitive material. Dragon’s trunk holds not only unpressured freight but also protects the spacecraft through ascension. Just before the Planet enters the atmosphere, the trunk remains bound to Dragon.
SpaceX will conduct the Dragon space taxi’s broad test flight and show that astronauts are able to carry the escape system of the spacecraft securely in the event of an emergency launch. The delivery took place at 10:30 am on 19th January.

It’s Crew Dragon’s last major test before SpaceX is allowed to start flying NASA astronauts on a commercial crew program contract.
The role of NASA in operation:
As a part of the contracts signed in the Commercial Crew Program (CCP) of the corporation, NASA played a significant role in that decision as SpaceX created the Crew Dragon. The CCP relies on SpaceX and Boeing to carry NASA astronauts to and from the International Space Station, a mission that only Russian Soyuz capsules had been able to do since a space shuttle fleet got retired in July 2011 and which is designing its own spaceship named CST-100 Starliner.
