Deepika Padukone:

She is a Hindi film actress and producer from India. Her awards include three Filmfare Awards, making her one of India’s highest-paid actresses. She is listed among the country’s most prominent celebrities, and Time named her one of the world’s 100 most influential people in the year 2018.

Deepika competed in national badminton championships as a teenager but left the sport to pursue a career as a fashion model. She got offers for film roles in the movie named Aishwarya as the title character. Padukone then starred alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Om Shanti Om (2007), her first Bollywood film, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Padukone received critical acclaim for her leading role in the romantic comedy Love Aaj Kal (2009), but she then suffered a setback.

She has won two Filmfare Awards for Best Actress for her roles as Juliet in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s tragic romance Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and a headstrong architect in the comedy-drama Piku (2015). In 2018, she founded Ka Productions and released the film Chhapaak (2020), in which she also starred as an acid attack survivor.

Padukone is the founder of the Live Love Laugh Foundation, which raises mental health awareness in India.  She has written columns for a newspaper, designed her line of women’s clothing, and is a prominent celebrity endorser for brands and products. She also participates in stage shows. Padukone is married to Ranveer Singh, a frequent co-star.

Her Early life and modeling career:

Padukone revealed in 2006 that Aishwarya, a Kannada film directed by Indrajit Lankesh, will be her film debut. She played the title role opposite Upendra in the romantic comedy, which was a remake of the Telugu film Manmadhudu. The movie was a big hit on the box office. Farah Khan’s Happy New Year had been shelved by the end of 2006, and Khan had instead cast Padukone in the melodrama Om Shanti Om (2007). Set in the Hindi film industry in the 1970s, the film tells the story of a struggling actor who dies soon after witnessing the murder of the woman he loves and is reincarnated to avenge her death.

Padukone played both a leading actress in the 1970s and an aspiring actress later in the film, which starred Shah Rukh Khan as the protagonist. Padukone studied the body language of actresses, Helen and Hema Malini, as part of her preparation for the role. Mona Ghosh Shetty, a voice artist, dubbed her voice. Padukone drew on Indian classical dance for one of the film’s songs, “Dhoom Taana,” and “mesmeriz[ed] viewers” by using hasta mudras, according to Dorling Kindersley.

Om Shanti Om was a commercial success, becoming the year’s highest-grossing film, grossing $1.49 billion (US$21 million) worldwide. Taran Adarsh of Bollywood Hungama said she had “what it takes to be a top star,” and she was honored with the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award and a nomination for her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress. Om Shanti Om’s performance, according to Bollywood Hungama, was a milestone for her.

Padukone then appeared in Yash Raj Films’ romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno as one of Ranbir Kapoor’s love interests (2008). The film was a financial success, but Padukone’s performance was a letdown, according to Outlook’s Namrata Joshi: “She is mannequin-like and completely lacks fire and zing.” Her first film in 2009 was with Akshay Kumar in Nikhil Advani’s kung fu comedy Chandni Chowk To China, in which she played twin sisters who are both Indian and Chinese. It was produced by Warner Bros. and had one of the most extensive international distributions ever provided to an Indian film.

Establishing as a leading lady (2012–2015):

Padukone has confirmed that her starring role in the 2012 romantic comedy Cocktail, directed by Homi Adajania, was a landmark moment in her career. [66] Rediff.com’s Raja Sen opined that she had successfully demonstrated herself to be a “stunning girl who can also act.” The cocktail is a film set in London that tells the story of a man’s relationship with two very different women: an impulsive party girl (Veronica, played by Padukone) and a submissive girl next door (Meera, played by Diana Penty).

Producer Dinesh Vijan offered Padukone the option of which woman to play during the script reading; she chose Veronica to widen her acting horizons. For her, playing the part was both an artistic and physical challenge, and to satisfy the physical demands of her character, she exercised daily and adhered to a strict diet.

The film received mixed reviews from critics, but Devesh Sharma of Filmfare praised Padukone’s performance, calling her the “soul of the film” and writing that she “excels in every scene, whether as a material girl who enjoys sex, drugs, and rock and roll or as the jealousy-ridden girl out to kill herself.” Padukone was nominated for Best Actress at several award shows, including Filmfare, Tv, and IIFA.

Padukone took a break from work after the success of Padmaavat to concentrate on her home and family. Ka Productions, her own company, was established in 2018. Her first acting role was in Meghna Gulzar’s drama Chhapaak (2020), in which she played an acid attack survivor (based on Laxmi Agarwal). She found filming in intense heat while wearing prosthetic makeup on her face exhausting, and she regarded it as the most physically demanding role of her career.

Future Ventures:

Padukone’s next project will be 83, a sports film starring Ranveer Singh as Kapil Dev about India’s victory at the 1983 Cricket World Cup, in which she will also play Dev’s wife, Romi. She has signed on to star in Shakun Batra’s untitled romantic drama alongside Siddhant Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday, as well as to play Draupadi in a retelling of the Mahabharata from her character’s viewpoint, which she will also produce.

Padukone will also produce and star in a remake of the American comedy film The Intern, as well as a yet-to-be-titled science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin with Prabhas. She began filming for YRF’s next movie, Pathan, in November 2020, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. She also has a part in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, which will be released in September 2022 and will star Hrithik Roshan.

Deepika, Kareena, and Madhuri are undeniably fashionistas, as demonstrated by their Instagram accounts. The actresses look beautiful in typical Indian clothing, posing at their best. They are gorgeous in a sultry translucent saree.

Kareena Kapoor:

Kareena Kapoor Khan is a Bollywood actress who has appeared in many films. She is the younger sister of actress Karisma Kapoor and is the daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. She is also the granddaughter of veteran actors Raj Kapoor and Hari Shivdasani. Kapoor is one of Bollywood’s most popular and highest-paid actresses, having played a variety of characters in a variety of film genres ranging from romantic comedies to crime dramas. She has won several awards, including six Filmfare Awards, and is one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses.

Kapoor established herself after her debut in the war film Refugee in 2000, with roles in the historical drama Aoka and the melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.. (both 2001). Following this initial success, she had a string of commercial failures and recurring roles, earning her negative reviews. Kapoor’s career took a turn in 2004 when she played a sex worker in the drama Chameli, playing against form. She went on to win critical acclaim for her roles in the 2004 drama Dev as a riot survivor and the 2006 crime film Omkara as a character based on William Shakespeare’s heroine Desdemona.

Kapoor is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, with whom she has two sons, and her personal life has received a lot of attention in India. She is known for her outspokenness and assertiveness, as well as her contributions to the entertainment industry through her fashion sense and film roles. In addition to film acting, Kapoor has appeared in stage plays, hosted a radio show, and co-authored three books, including an autobiographical novel and two diet guides. She has her line of women’s clothing and cosmetics, and she has partnered with UNICEF since 2014 to campaign for girls’ education and an improvement in India’s quality-based education.

Life and career:

Kapoor was cast as the lead in Rakesh Roshan’s Kaho Naa
Pyaar Hai (2000) opposite his son, Hrithik Roshan, while still at the institute. However, she dropped out of the project a few days into filming; Kapoor later clarified that not doing the film helped her because the director’s son received more attention. [nine] Later that year, she made her acting debut in J. P. Dutta’s war drama Refugee, alongside Abhishek Bachchan. Set during the 1971 Indo-Pakistani war, Kapoor plays Naaz, a Bangladeshi girl who falls in love with Bachchan’s character.

In Satish Kaushik’s box-office hit Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai, Kapoor was paired opposite Tusshar Kapoor for her second release (2001). According to a review in The Hindu, she was “definitely the actress to look out for” based on her first two films. Aoka premiered at the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals in 2001, and although it earned mostly favorable reviews internationally, it did not perform well in India, which critics blamed on the way Ashoka was presented. Aoka was nominated for five awards at the 47th Filmfare Awards, including a Best Actress nomination for Kapoor.

A turning point in Kapoor’s career came when she was cast alongside an ensemble cast in Karan Johar’s 2001 melodrama Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
as Pooja (“Poo,” a good-natured, superficial girl). She didn’t see much of a similarity between herself and her “over-the-top” character, so she based Poo’s personality on Johar’s. She was nominated for a second Filmfare Award for the role, this time for Best Supporting Actress, as well as nominations from the International Indian Academy (IIFA) and the Screen Awards.

Following her performance in Hulchul, Kapoor starred in the 2005 drama Bewafaa as the lead. The film received mostly negative reviews, and Indiatimes’ Nikhat Kazmi claimed that Kapoor was playing a mature, jaded character beyond her years in Bewafaa to become a serious actress. The romantic dramas Kyon Ki and Dosti: Friends Forever, both of which underperformed at the box office, were her final two releases of the year. She starred opposite Shahid Kapoor in her next two films, the thriller 36 China Town and the comedy Chup Chup Ke (both 2006).

Established actress (2007–2011):

Kapoor next starred alongside Shahid Kapoor in the romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007), in which she played Geet Dhillon, a vibrant Sikh girl with a zest for life. With just one feature credit to his name, director Imtiaz Ali was not a well-known figure before its release, but Kapoor agreed to the film after being enthralled by his “mind-blowing” script.

Kapoor kicked off the new decade with a lead role opposite Shahid Kapoor in the romantic comedy Milenge Milenge (2010), a film that had been in the works since 2005. The film performed poorly at the box office, and Rajeev Masand felt it was “highly outdated” with stereotypical characters. Another film, We Are Family, was a moderate success, and Kapoor was nominated for the 56th Filmfare Awards for Best Supporting Actress.

In 2016, Kapoor starred alongside Arjun Kapoor in R. Balki’s romantic comedy Ki & Ka, a romantic comedy about gender stereotypes. She was cast as Kia Bansal, an ambitious and career-oriented woman, and was attracted to the project because of its significance and unique concept. The film received mixed reviews from critics, but it was a commercial success, grossing over $1 billion (US$14 million) worldwide.

Veere Di Wedding and beyond (2018–present):

Kapoor was convinced to return to acting by her husband after the birth of her child. Shashanka Ghosh’s Veere Di Wedding (2018), a female buddy film co-starring Sonam K Ahuja, Swara Bhaskar, and Shikha Talsania, was the project she was looking for for for to accommodate her parental commitments. Veere Di Wedding became one of the highest-grossing Hindi films with a female lead.

Kapoor reunited with Akshay Kumar a year later in Good Newwz (2019), a comedy about two couples who experiment with in vitro fertilization. “It’s hard to take your eyes off Kapoor Khan and her success as a working woman aching to have a baby draws you in further,” Udita Jhunjunwala wrote in a Mint review. She was nominated for Best Actress at the Filmfare, IIFA, and Zee Cine Awards for her performance. It was the fifth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year, grossing over $3 billion (US$42 million) worldwide.

In Laal Singh Chaddha, a remake of the American comedy-drama Forrest Gump, Kapoor will reunite with Aamir Khan for the third time (1994). She will also star alongside Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, and Alia Bhatt in Karan Johar’s historical drama Takht, in which she will play the Mughal princess Jahanara Begum.

Early roles, breakthrough, and recognition (1984–89) :

In 1984, Dixit made her film debut in Rajshri Productions’ drama Abodh, in which she starred alongside Bengali actor Tapas Paul. The film was a commercial failure upon its release, but critics praised Dixit’s performance. “Madhuri excels in her role as a young bride who acquits herself well as the naïve village girl and does not know what marriage entails,” wrote Aakash Barvalia of Gomolo.

Dixit rose to fame almost overnight and is now remembered as Mohini. Her song “Ek Do Teen” became a hit, and she was nominated for her first Filmfare award.

Vardi, her first film in 1989, performed reasonably well at the box office. She then starred alongside Anil Kapoor in Subhash Ghai’s Ram Lakhan. She portrayed Radha Shastri, a young woman who falls in love with a childhood friend but struggles to persuade her father. Ram Lakhan was a “super-hit” at the box office, finishing as the second highest-grossing film of the year.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s drama Parinda, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, and Nana Patekar, was another box office success for her. She played Paro, who is murdered by a gangster on her wedding night, along with Karan (Kapoor) (played by Patekar). The film was a critical and commercial success, and it was called to CNN-list News18’s of the “100 greatest Indian films of all time” in 2013.

Widespread success (1990–1997):

Dixit appeared in nine films in 1990. It tells the story of twin brothers who were separated at birth and then reunited as teenagers. Kapoor’s love interests were played by Dixit and Shirodkar. In India, it was the fourth highest-grossing film of the year.

Dixit had five movies released in 1991, the first of which was the romantic comedy Pyar Ka Devta. She then appeared in the psychological thriller 100 Days opposite Jackie Shroff. Devi, a clairvoyant woman who has a vision of a murder and sets out to solve the crime, was played by her. The film had a poor box office output. She then appeared alongside Dutt and Salman Khan in Saajan. The film was a critical and commercial success, and Dixit received acclaim for her performance as Pooja Saxena, who is head over heels in love with her idol, Sagar. For her performance in the film, she earned her fourth Filmfare nomination for Best Actress. Her other films include Tatineni Rama Rao’s Pratikar and Nana Patekar’s Prahaar.

Her next film was the Rajshri Productions family drama Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, in which she starred alongside Salman Khan. The film became one of the biggest successes in Hindi cinema history, grossing $1.35 billion worldwide, smashing the previous record set by Sholay (1975). After its theatrical run, it became the highest-grossing Bollywood film in Hindi cinema history, holding the record for 7 years before Gadar: Ek Prem Katha was released (2001). Hum Aapke Hain Kaun won two National Awards, including Best Famous Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, and was declared Bollywood’s highest-grossing film in the Millennium Edition of the “Guinness Book of World Records.”

Yash Chopra’s musical romantic drama Dil To Pagal Hai was Dixit’s fifth and final release of 1997. The film, which co-stars Shah Rukh Khan and Karisma Kapoor, is about the love stories of dancers in a musical dance troupe. Pooja, a woman in a love triangle who faces a moral dilemma, won her a fourth Filmfare Best Actress Award and the Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Female. Dil To Pagal Hai became a ‘blockbuster,’ with the film becoming India’s second highest-grossing film of the year. The film won three awards at the 45th National Film Awards, including Best Famous Film Offering Wholesome Entertainment.

Current work (2007–present):

Dixit made her acting comeback after five years with a leading role in Aaja Nachle, a dance film directed by cinematographer Anil Mehta (2007). Dia, a choreographer who returns to her hometown to save the endangered theater where she learned to dance, was played by her. Despite the film’s failure at the box office, Dixit’s performance received positive reviews.

Indra Kumar’s adventure comedy Complete Dhamaal reunited Dixit with Anil Kapoor and Ajay Devgn (2019). She played Bindu Patel, a woman who, with the aid of a group of people, finds a hidden treasure and races to claim it. The film received mixed to negative reviews, but Dixit’s performance was praised for being mixed to positive.
